Why is a correct diagnosis so important?

Most individuals with ADHD are thought to have specific learning disabilities and are more likely than their peers to experience greater levels of self-destructive behavior, depression, and anxiety-related disorders, putting them at a higher risk of academic and professional underachievement.

Frequently, people are unaware of the underlying issue influencing their success and happiness. Diagnosis usually helps clarify the reasons behind life’s difficulties. Your medical and psychosocial teams will then be able to direct you towards appropriate treatments.

The objective of diagnosis and treatment is to help you achieve a sense of well-being, self-confidence, and your personal accomplishments without interference from ADHD.

Why do you conduct so many tests?

At the ADHD Testing Center, we are committed to providing each patient with the most efficient treatment possible. Because each individual and body is unique, our series of tests assists in avoiding unneeded therapy.

Do you conduct tests at home?

Currently, we are only conducting testing in the physician’s office only. We can perform examinations, consultations, and psychological counseling online.

What’s the difference between your service and a visit to a nearby doctor?

It may be complicated to choose the right specialist to make an ADHD diagnosis — and monitor the therapy that follows. Most family practitioners are aware of ADHD, but they may not have the depth of expertise that more specialist professionals possess. They may also have minimal experience with ADHD, particularly in adults. In addition, short office visits may result in a rushed diagnosis.

Further referrals are needed to complete therapy. At ADHD Testing Center, we perform all phases of our program in-house.

What are your COVID-19 protocols?

We are committed to always following the most recent CDC COVID-19 guidelines. As a healthcare facility, we require the use of face masks indoors, as well as regular testing of our staff and heightened cleaning protocols. Policies will be updated as new information becomes available.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not currently accept insurance plans. This enables us to offer you the quickest access to the fundamentals of our program, allowing you to get started on your path to effective treatment as soon as possible. We want to ensure that our highly qualified experts are only focused on bettering your health.

What do the procedures look like?

All our assessment and testing procedures are done within our office, with the exception of the Go/no-Go and delayed gratification tasks.  These two tasks can be completed at home by a parent with our instructions and support.

Go/no-Go task:

A fixation point on a screen is presented for a short time, each before a series of letters. Participants are required to respond quickly by pressing one of two designated keys to indicate their answer. Inhibited responses are required when letters are accompanied by a designated “no-Go” symbol (stimulus). Reaction time and omissions are recorded.

Delayed Gratification task:

A cake or preferred dessert is presented to the participant with the choice of two options: eat the dessert now or wait until later to eat two. The amount of time that the participant can resist the immediate reward is recorded.

How much time will it take to complete all assessments, evaluations, and the final report?

Depending on the availability of EEG study we can complete the assessment within 3-5 business days.
